Resources

Airfare

I've planned and taken trips all over the world using some of the below resources to maximize my time and budget. Use these to help plan your next trip!

Kayak

This is a good tool for finding flights that leave from the United States.  They search a wide variety of airline and other flight brokers. If you are located in the United States, this is a good place to start your flight search

Skyscanner

This is my absolute favorite site for flight deals, including may of the budget carriers that aren't often on larger sites. Click here for a post on the best way to navigate this site

Google Flights

One of the best flight search engines out there, Google Flights allows you to input your departure airport and see flights all over the world in a map so you can see where the cheapest destination in, fantastic for when you are flexible with your destination. They also give you different date options for cheaper flights.

Accomodations

Kayak

This is a good tool to find hotels for your trip. It's easy to use and allows you to compare other sites to find the best deal in one seamless platform.

Airbnb

This is one of my absolute favorite sites for accommodations. It is very affordable and it allows you connect with homeowners who rent our their homes/apartments to you. You'll get the comforts of a home, the opportunity to stay in a place like a local, and most importantly, pay a fraction of the cost of a hotel room (If you’re new to Airbnb, get $40 off your first stay!)

Hostelworld

One of the best hostel accommodation sites that has a great inventory, good search interface, and up to date availability. I go through them for my hostel bookings and have always had a great experience
