When I bought my plane ticket to London, the first thing I did, besides pray that it wouldn’t be pouring the entire time, was look up where to stay. My memory of London from my first trip there was that it was vast and the location we stayed at was so far from everything that we ended up lost on the tube for a large part of the trip. I was determined to not let that be the case again. Thankfully, my search was relatively short. Within minutes, I stumbled upon the Arch London Hotel. Good location? Check. Stunning photos? Check. On my second trip to Athens, I fell absolutely head over heels in love with the city (I know that tends to happen to me a lot but seriously…this was quite the love affair). Part of this was definitely attributed to the hotel I stayed at, the New Hotel. In the heart of Athens, the New Hotel was the perfect home base for exploring the ancient city. Ideally situated just a few blocks away from Syntagma Square, I was able to walk from one historical site to the next and discover all the local spots in between. If there is one thing that will help you have the best time in Athens, being well located is definitely it.
