There’s nothing I love more than starting off a new year dreaming about travel. Of course, before I do anything else, I have to create my travel bucket list. It always leaves me feeling inspired, motivated, and itching to get on the road. If you’re looking for some great bucket list destinations for 2022, look no further!
My Travel Bucket List for 2022
I broke out my travel bucket list by continent. Of course, there are sooo many more destinations in each region I’d love to visit but these are the ones I hope to see this year.
Europe Bucket List
Albania
Albania is somewhere that has been on my list for quite some time. It’s incredibly affordable, has amazing beaches, idyllic villages, and is relatively off the beaten path.
Cyprus
I am in love with the Mediterranean and when I was creating my list for this year, I stumbled across Cyprus. I’m most looking forward to traditional dishes here, the pristine beaches, and of course, the wine.
Georgia
This destination has been on my list for as long as I can remember. I’m dying to go for the wine as Georgia is considered the birthplace of wine (first known wine creation dates back to 6,000 BC here). Other reasons I want to go include the Georgian hospitality, the natural beauty, and the rich history.
Africa Bucket List
Tanzania
There are so many reasons why Tanzania is on my travel bucket list but at the top are visiting the Serengeti, experiencing the culture, and the incredible beaches. This also serves as a perfect addition to an adventure bucket list.
South Africa
Another destination that has been on my travel bucket list forever. I’m dying to go here for the wine (see a theme here?), the adventure activities (another destination for an adventure bucket list), the natural breathtaking beauty, and so much more!
Asia Bucket List
Japan
I can’t believe I haven’t been to Japan yet! I’m most excited to visit Japan off the beaten path. In particular Tohuku which is home to hot springs, traditional towns, and stunning mountain hikes.
Bali (and the rest of Indonesia)
Though this is a popular tourist destination, I’m hoping to experience Bali off the beaten path to avoid the crowd. Of course I’m excited for the impressive beaches, the rugged hills, and the laidback atmosphere.
USA Bucket List
Acadia National Park
Visiting the US National Parks is one of my favorite types of trips. Acadia National Park made it to my travel bucket list because of its stunning landscape. We plan on visiting in the winter to see the park blanketed in white.
South America Bucket List
Bolivia
I’ve traveled extensively in South America but haven’t yet made it to Bolivia. I’m dying to go here because it’s a foodie destination, has fascinating cultural experiences, and, with its high altitude, and has unique wine.
Fingers crossed I get to make it to all the destinations on my travel bucket list this year! More importantly, if you’re searching for bucket list destinations for 2022 I hope this served as inspiration.
