Best Areas to Stay in Paros
Before we get into some of the best hotels, it helps to understand some of the different parts of the island. Paros is small and easy to get around, but each area has its own vibe.
Here are three great places to base yourself and who they’re best for:
Naoussa
✈️ Best for: First-timers, foodies, and those seeking nightlife
🥂 Vibe: Lively and charming fishing village with a picturesque harbor, full of restaurants, bars, and local shops. You’ll be able to walk almost everywhere.
📍 Why stay here: It’s the most popular town for a reason with lots of great food, sunset views, and easy beach access by bus or taxi.
🚗 Rental car needed? Not essential. You can get around by bus, taxi, or walking, though a car gives you more flexibility to explore other parts of the island. I personally recommend renting one no matter where you stay in Paros so you can easily get to all parts of the island.
Parikia
✈️ Best for: Charming stays near the ferry port, short stay, and a local feel
🥂 Vibe: Whitewashed alleyways, old town charm, great bakeries, and a mix of locals and travelers.
📍 Why stay here: It’s the island’s capital and the main port, with easy access to ferries and buses — perfect if you want to explore multiple parts of Paros or are stopping over for a night or two. Parikia still feels authentic, and you’ll find some lovely boutique stays tucked right into the historic center
🚗 Rental car needed? Optional. Parikia is a convenient location and it’s easy to stay in the port town without a car and to reach the surrounding area by bus. That said, I still recommend renting one no matter where you stay in Paros so you can easily reach all corners of the island.
Lefkes
✈️ Best for: Travelers seeking authentic charm, quiet village vibes, and an off-the-beaten-path feel
🥂 Vibe: A picturesque charming village with cobblestone paths, whitewashed houses, and a slow, local pace with a relaxed atmosphere
📍Why stay here: Lefkes offers a peaceful escape from the coastal crowds with historical sites, while still being central enough to explore the island. It’s ideal if you’re craving a more traditional Greek village experience — the kind where you’ll sip coffee with locals and watch the day go by.
🚗 Rental car needed? Yes. Lefkes is inland and best reached by car. You’ll want one to comfortably explore the island from here.
Where to Stay in Naoussa: Boutique Hotels I’d Actually Book
Naoussa is full of hotels, but not all of them are worth your time or money. I’ve narrowed it down to a handful of boutique stays from luxury hotels to more wallet-friendly finds that combine style, location, and a sense of place. These are spots I’d personally book for my next trip.
Parilio, a Member of Design Hotels

With only 40 rooms, the vibe is peaceful and intimate, the kind of place where you can go from a beach dip to an aperitif by the pool without ever feeling rushed.
The design is earthy and minimal, with a neutral palette and natural textures that feel both calming and elevated. And while the setting is serene and feels like you’re in an oasis, you’re still not far from the action. It’s a huge bonus for travelers who want stylish comfort and walkability.

Hotel Manto
I stayed at two hotels on my last trip to Paros—one I wouldn’t recommend (so it’s not included here) and one I really enjoyed, which made the cut: Hotel Manto
Hotel Manto is a no-frills, family-run hotel just a short walk from the center of Naoussa. The rooms are simple but spotless, and while it’s not a design hotel, the warmth and hospitality here make it truly special.
Kostas and his wife go above and beyond—offering local recommendations, arranging car rentals, and even welcoming us with homemade cake and coffee.

When to Book Your Hotel
If you’re traveling to Paros during the summer (June through August), which is peak season in Greece, I recommend booking your hotel as early as possible. Boutique stays on the island tend to fill up fast especially the ones with great design, dining, and location. Prices also rise the closer you get to your dates, so planning ahead can save you both stress and money.
A great time to visit Paros is during the shoulder season which is May and September/October.
💡 My tip: Try to book at least 3–6 months in advance for summer travel, especially if you have your eye on a specific hotel or want to travel in July or August.
